The new Skdoa Fabia will have a choice of five petrol engines. Thanks to this, the Czech carmaker not only increases the number of different engines compared to its predecessor, but also significantly expands the power range — from 65 hp to 65 hp. up to 150 hp All five engines belong to the Volkswagen Group of the new generation EVO. This makes the new Fabia 10% more economical than its predecessor. Combined with the optional 50-liter tank, the range on a single charge is almost 1,000 km.

With many original aerodynamic parts, Skoda significantly reduces fuel consumption and emissions for the new Fabia . Compared to its predecessor, the Czech hatchback’s drag coefficient has dropped from 0.32 to 0.28, making it the most aerodynamically efficient small car in its segment. The aerodynamics have been developed primarily through precise CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations.

Skoda has also once again improved passenger safety in the new Fabia and further expanded the range of available safety systems. Safety and comfort features now include new assistance systems previously available on higher-end vehicles. For example, the car will receive parking assistance systems.

The hatchback can be equipped with up to 9 airbags to protect passengers in the event of an accident. This is the first Skoda Fabia to offer additional ISOFIX mountings. Skoda is also taking advantage of the Volkswagen Group MQB-A0 platform for the new Fabia. This platform allows for the latest passive and active assistance systems and offers a body structure with high torsional resistance and excellent stability.

To do this, the automaker uses new high-strength alloys and specially hardened hot-forged steels. In addition, the car is equipped with many brand-typical Simply Clever features. A total of 13 new solutions will be featured on the Fabia, five of which will be installed in a Skoda for the first time, while the compact car has just 43 practical details.

The car will receive branded accessories such as an ice scraper under the tank cap and a coupon holder on the windshield. Other options include a folding front passenger seat backrest, a multifunctional storage pocket under the trunk lid, an additional USB-C port in the rearview mirror, and two smartphone storage pockets on the front seatbacks.
